Chelsea have signed the exciting talent that is Maika Hamano. The 18-yeard old Japanese attacker joins Chelsea until 2027 from INAC Kobe Leonessa. She is immediately loaned out to Swedish Hammarby to develop her already acquired skills ahead of the 2023 Damallsvenskan campaign.
The young attacker joins Chelsea on the back of a great U20 WWC in the summer, where she was nominated the golden ball and the silver boot for her performances on the pitch. She continued to impress in the WE League in Japan and has now made the step to Europe.
Chelsea have multiple aims for the future, and with attracting Hamano, they are ready for the future and therefore give her the chance to develop in another high quality league.
