Spurs have announced their first signing of the winter window, taking Arsenal’s Emma Mitchell on a temporary deal.
The defender joins Spurs until the end of the season and will wear the number 21 shirt.
The 27-year-old was part of the Arsenal side that won the league title last season. Emma made 15 appearances for the Gunners on their way to the championship.
Mitchell has 60 senior caps for Scotland. She started her career at Glasgow City and spent time as Essen in Germany before joining Arsenal in 2013.
Emma Mitchell has played 86 times for the Gunners. She is now looking forward to a new challenge after only playing 32 minutes in the WSL this season.
Mitchell told tottenhamhotspur.com: “I’m really pleased to be at the Club, it’s going to be a new challenge for me.
“I’m looking forward to being part of the squad and meeting the girls ahead of a big game against Manchester City on Sunday.
“After speaking to Karen and Juan, it felt like the best opportunity for me to come here and get some minutes under my belt.
“That is a big focus for me in the new year and it will be nice to be part of helping the team get more points on the board.”
