Birmingham City have signed 23-year-old defender Georgia Brougham from Everton on loan until the end of the season.
The young English defender is yet to make an appearance in the Women’s Super League this season. She will hope that the move to Birmingham will give her the opportunity to get some minutes under her belt.
Brougham started at Manchester City, joining the academy there at the age of nine. She signed for Everton in 2016 and won the WSL2 Spring Series with Everton in 2017.
She has made 29 WSL appearances with the Toffees but hasn’t made an appearance yet this season due to the signing of Kika van Es.
Georgia Brougham will be available for Birmingham’s game with Reading this Sunday.
She will wear the number 16 for Birmingham City.
The club have also confirmed that Emma Kelly will be available after her international clearance was successfully attained.
Former Everton player and current Birmingham City forward Claudia Walker will be familiar with Brougham. Both were part of the Everton side that won the Spring Series in 2017.
This move is Everton’s second outgoing loan, with Elise Hughes being at Bristol City until the end of the season.
