Everton have made their third, and probably final, signing of the winter transfer window. They have signed Australian international Hayley Raso for an undisclosed fee.
Raso was due to play for Brisbane Roar yesterday morning but the move ruled her out of competing.

She had split her time between Roar and the NWSL’s Portland Thorns. She made 14 appearances for the Thorns in 2019, scoring four goals.
Raso has the same number of goals in her eight appearances for Brisbane.

Australian international Raso also made four appearances at last year’s World Cup. She started in the quarter-final that saw Australia knocked out of the competition.

Raso joins Sandy MacIver and Izzy Christiansen as Everton’s signings this transfer window. It has been a statement of intent from Willie Kirk and his squad to go out and bring in players of international quality.
Kirk is also expecting another player to leave the club before the window is over. Everton have seen both Elise Hughes and Georgia Brougham leave on loan deals this window.
“Hayley is a very exciting talent and I cannot wait to start working with her,” Kirk said.
“I’ve been tracking her for almost a year now, watching closely her performances with Portland, Brisbane and Australia.
“At 25, she has great experience. Having played in the NWSL, the W-League, accumulated more than 40 caps for her country and having to overcome a very serious injury, she adds resilience, maturity, and professionalism to the squad.
