Houston Dash have signed Brianna Visalli in hopes of bolstering their attack ahead of the Challenge Cup in June.
The Dash are in serious need of offensive help, finishing seventh in last season’s NWSL.
Visalli was drafted by the Chicago Red Stars in 2018 after an impressive college career at Peredine University.
The No. 10 had a reputation for goal-scoring, finding the net 26 times during her four-year term. She was also named West Coast Conference Player of the Year.
She spent the last couple of years in the FA Women’s Super League, with West Ham and Birmingham respectively.
Brianna Visalli will now join the rest of her Houston Dash teammates as they prepare to leave for the “NWSL Village,” a league-wide housing and training camp ahead of the Challenge Cup.

Visalli made 20 appearances with West Ham and played a key role in their 2019 FA Cup run. The Hammers lost 3-0 to Manchester City in the final.
The 25-year-old then moved to Birmingham last year but had her season cut short due to an unknown medical condition. She has since recovered.
Although she was selected by Chicago in the NWSL Draft, Visalli spent most of her time with the reserve team.
She’ll be hoping her move to the Dash will be an opportunity to properly showcase her ability at the Challenge Cup.
The 25-game tournament will replace this year’s regular season and will use an international-style format.
Each team will play four games to determine seeding before the top eight teams advance to the single-elimination quarterfinals.
The Cup will be held in Utah at the Zions Bank Stadium. It will run from June 27 to July 26, however, the league has not released a schedule yet.
All nine teams will participate in the tournament and have been given the all-clear to begin training.
