
Leicester City have appointed Emile Heskey following the departure of Russ Fraser. The former Head of Women’s Football Development has taken on the new role of Managing Director at Liverpool Women.
About five years ago, Heskey hung up his boots to mark the end of his career as both a club and country legend.
Four years before his retirement, he attended a Leicester City Women training session. Then in 2020, he was announced as an ambassador.
Today, he has become the Head of Women’s Football Development at his boyhood club.
After announcing his ambassadorial position, Heskey took on a number of different roles at the club – most of which included coaching.
Now. as the Head of Women’s Football Development, he will be in charge of recruitment, coaching, and performance.

The Foxes are eager to develop the women’s team after giving them access to Belvoir Drive and the King Power stadium. This comes after striking an agreement with the LCFC and King Power ownership.
The appointment of Emile Heskey further shows how much the club continue to push for the legacy to include Leicester City Women.
The Foxes will be looking to claim points this weekend as they take on Tottenham Hotspur at home this Sunday.
