The road to Bilbao and this season’s final is set following the draw for the Champions League (UWCL) quarter-final fixtures at UEFA HQ in Switzerland.

Chelsea could be forced to navigate their way past a familiar foe in Barcelona if both reach the semi-finals. The Blues will be looking to give Emma Hayes the perfect send-off before she takes her new post with the USWNT. However, Chelsea must first face a Dutch test in the form of Ajax in the quarters. Let’s take a look at the rest of the quarter-final draw.

UWCL quarter-final draw

While Chelsea will be busy with Ajax, Barcelona have been drawn against Norwegian outfit SK Brann in their quarter-final.

As group winners, Chelsea will be at home in the second leg against Ajax on Wednesday 27th March. Amsterdam will host the first leg the week prior.

Should both Chelsea and Barcelona come through their respective tests, it will set up a blockbuster semi-final.

On the other side of the draw, Portuguese side Benfica have been pitted against eight-time winners Lyon.

BK Häcken — who snubbed both Paris FC and Real Madrid’s chances to qualify beyond the groups this season — face another trip to the French capital to take on Paris Saint-Germain.
